Next to the Christmas tree, Oktoberfest is the most popular German custom that Germany has ever exported to the rest of the world.
The German (actually Bavarian) celebration of beer and good times has gradually caught on in many parts of the world. For the last 42 years the American-German Club of the Palm Beaches hosts its traditional Oktoberfest on the second and third weekend of October.
With more than 35,000 expected visitors over the two weekends, the American German Club of the Palm Beaches brings the tastes of Bavaria to South Florida.
Held on ten acres of ground under our pavilion and massive tent, our "Original Oktoberfest" is considered by several media organizations, the second largest Oktoberfest in the country. Only Cincinnati, Ohio organizes a bigger one.
The Club's Oktoberfest features a traditional yet modern Bavarian Oktoberfest atmosphere, authentic German meals, beer and brat booths, a Biergarten, family-friendly entertainment for the kids with arts & crafts, carnival and games, vendor displays, souvenirs, and continuous live entertainment provided by two bands direct from the Munich Oktoberfest, with a whole lot more planned just for our guests. Along with the bands several dance groups will perform ethnic entertainment.
Authentic German food such as Pork Schnitzel, Sauerbraten, Roast loin of pork, Rotisserie Chicken, Leberkäse (Veal Loaf), Bratwurst, Bauernwurst, Foot Long Frankfurters, Schnitzel Sandwich or Platter, German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut, Potato Pancakes with Apple Sauce or Sour Creme are available and much more. And don't forget to save room for the German desserts including several types of cakes like Apple Strudel and Black Forest Cake.
Original Hofbräu Beer imported from Munich-Germany and domestic beers, soft drinks and non-alcoholic beer will be served along with imported and domestic wine and more. Our Schnapps Booth serves over 30 different types of Liquors or visit our Jägerhaus and try all kind of Jäger Specials.
